PDU

Just in time for the integration progress an important component arrived: the Power Distribution Unit. (PDU)

The PDU will convert the voltage the REXUS rocket provides to the voltage the experiment components – such as Onboard Computer and PATHOS-system – need. This means with an input of unregulated voltage in a range of 24V to 36V the PDU will provide a regulated output voltage of 5V.

To meet the needs of the experiment setup one team member designed these printed circuit board himself including conducting paths layout and choice of used electrical components.

During production we got pictures showing the upper and lower side of the PDU.
